Sunday Service 5:00 PM
North Canberra Baptist Church
17 Condamine Street
Our Sunday night services are based on a four-week cycle (see below). As a result, our services vary from week to week. The calendar on the right indicates the kind of service we will be having on any given weekend.
We meet together on Sunday evenings each week as a church. We have a four-week cycle for these church services and each week has a different emphasis:
This service begins with some singing and then we hear a sermon on the passage of the Bible that we read the week before. These sermons may involve breaks for people to read other relevant passages of Scripture or group activities to explore a certain idea. You can view or listen to previous sermons here.
This service begins with some singing and then we engage in a reflection of the previous weeks sermon this involves some reflective questions and if you want a creative response (materials provided). The corporate reading involves both individual reflection time as well as small group interaction. We sit around tables for this service.
This service is a time of praising God through song and reflection. During this service we share in communion; this is a symbolic meal whereby we remember the person of Jesus Christ and the significance of his life, death and resurrection. We typically sit on the floor in a circle for this service
In place of a formal service we share a meal together. Food is provided and there is opportunity for sharing stories and just being a community.
Services generally go for an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.
